You're in good hands...

Where I Have Come From...
As an exotic
dancer in Detroit, MI for over six years (1998- 2005), it didn't take
me long to realize how much I loved pole dancing, and exotic body movements. There's no other dance in the world like it! I always wanted to be on stage, even if the club was empty... I was always teaching
girls in the clubs how to dance, and do pole tricks. I new long ago that I wanted this dance to be a part of the rest of my life.
I was so excited to learn that
women outside of the club atmosphere were embracing this form of art, and fitness, and wanted to learn too!
Pole dancing
is a beautiful multi-faceted art form that can help build strength, and self-confidence by helping
you embrace your innate feminine sensuality, and it is also a great way to stay toned, while retaining, and accentuating the curves that make us female.

Why it works, and how it worked for me:
I had my first child in October of 2005, and gained a LOT of weight with my pregnancy. When all was said, and done I had gained 100 lbs, and given birth to a 9 lbs 6 oz. baby boy (See pictures on the "Testimonials" page).
Having never been a pound over 110 lbs in my life, i was quite dismayed to realize that i was responsible for losing the dreaded "baby weight", and getting my ass back in shape. I couldn't think of a better way than pole dancing, so that's what I did. It is such a well rounded workout, that it can be a completely effective way of losing weight.
You can certainly sail through class just for fun, and get a little bit of a workout, but if you put some drive, and determination behind the routine, and make every movement active, you will see some real results.
An "Up Lifting" Excercise...
Stand up right now, where ever you are, and rise up onto the balls of your feet... Do you feel that? If you are balancing on center you should be able to feel a great many muscles engaging all the way from your toes, up your legs, being supported in the torso by your abdominal corset, elongating all the way up through your neck to hold your head up straight, and high. Now you're in "dancer posture"!
If you can feel it just from standing there, imagine what a whole class in heels, with your own pole can do for you!
